Sesh - They prefer for us to be referred out to a specialist for stuff like this, rather than go to the ER. We are authorized 4 free visits to Urgent Care clinics, too, but there are certain stipulations for that as well. It's so frustrating. I don't even know if my insurance will cover me if I go to the ER for a UTI on the weekends anymore (that's usually when I get them). Oh, and Walgreens is no longer part of our insurance system, either, which sucks because most of their pharmacies are open 24 hours, as opposed to having to wait till the next morning to go to CVS or Publix to get it filled.

Good morning. I am so happy it is Friday. H and I talked it over an decided it's time to start TTC. He is uber excited. He has wanted a baby for a long time. I have already told him we have a limited amount of time to try then we have to stop for a while so I am not majorly pregnant for my friends wedding. I really want to take part in all of the wedding festivities, one being a wine tour for the B party. I don't want to miss that. At least we won't be ordering the dresses until September so I have some time to figure things out.
Morning!  So glad it's Friday. H got me a Kindle Touch for my birthday.  I think my ILs are planning to come up tomorrow afternoon so it will be nice to see them.  Our new washer and dryer are getting delivered tomorrow and our delivery window is 7a-7p.  That is not a freaking window!  It's all.freaking.day!
Posted by ILoveMilkDuds
I hate delivery windows like that. Yours is a lot worse though. For our freezer last weekend ours was 3-7 pm. On a Saturday.  We knew the day for a couple weeks but we didn't get the window either until the day before, so we basicaly had to keep that whole day open. It aws annoying.

I missed wishing you a happy birthday! It was yesterday right?  Or is it today?  Either way happy birthday!!

Morning ladies. I am soooooo happy it is Friday. I look forward to sleeping because I haven't been sleeping well. The kids here are on a trip today, so hopefully it will be a quiet day.

Numbers, I still didn't change my name either. I changed it on FB though, so doesn't it make it official? It should. I just wanted to wait until we moved because I would rather change everything all at one. Plus, it is a PITA to change things with the licensing boards in NJ...they blow!

Hey everyone. I came into work today, even though I felt icky this morning. I shouldn't have. I'm now really light headed and just... tired. I'll probably only stay until noon, but I don't want to drive home. ha

Sorry for the disappointing weigh-in, chels.  Just keep at it.  You still lost something!

DJ, are you doing any particular theme for the baby shower?

I'm throwing one next weekend and really need to get on my decorating scheme. I have rubber duckies for the cupcakes and am doing a centerpiece made out of the baby bath tub, etc.

Morning.  It's raining sideways outside today, the hour long drive to our work site really sucked.

And then, I got mistaken for a student.  Umm, no, not 19; but thanks, I guess.

I keep thinking that this weekend is the first weekend of Feb.  It's like a bonus weekend since it's not.

I'm still really bitter I went off the pill last february and gained weight cause of it, it feels like I wasted an entire year. By the time I realized it was being off the pill causing it I was already 35lbs heavier (in 6 months). My body is a total asshole and I hate it, we don't get along. I seriously doubt I will ever go off the pill again.

<div>Is this a normal reaction? I am just asking since I will be going off the pill by the end of the year, once FH gets a vasectomy. I know I was thinner before I went on the pill 4 years ago but that is mainly for lifestyle reasons. Does the mama know how she wants to decorate the baby's room (theme)? That could be a starting point too, as far as color and characters go.

We're not TTC yet, but I already know that we'll be decorating our kid's room in Wookie The Chew. I showed it to H last night and I knew he'd have his heart set on it. It's a good thing we both love it lol.

Good morning!  I'm so glad it is Friday.  I woke up the past two mornings thinking that it was Friday, so I am more than ready for it!

When I went on BC, I gained weight.  Then I lost it.  Then I went off BC and gained weight, but my boobs shrunk (go figure).  I think it affects people differently, though.  It also might depend on what kind of bc you take.  I tried talking to my pcp about it before I went off, but he just told me that the pill doesn't affect peoples' weight.  I call bs on that one, but if you have a better dr, they might be able to walk you through what can happen.

My doc said it was cause of pcos. I had a bunch of other symptoms but the weight gain was the worst. I was steadily gaining weight despite working out and eating well.

I gained weight when I originally went on the pill.  I think BCP was part of the reason I had such a hard time losing weight, too, tbh.  When I went off, I lost weight more quickly... until I tried an IUD.  Which pretty much ruined my life. I gained 17 pounds in less than 3 months.  After I had it removed, I was able to lose weight again.  That being said, my body has always reacted weird to extra hormones.

And, well, now I'm KU, so there goes my weight loss ideas for now :P

Yeah. it's bullshit.  My (now ex) doctor told me there was NO WAY the IUD affected my weight gain. Seriously?!

Sure, there might not be an official link, but EVERYONE I know that has been on BCP (or hormonal BC of any kind) says it affects their weight one way or another.

Hey, did you guys know that Bob Dylan originally wrote that "Friday" song that Rebecca Black became famous with on YouTube? It goes back to 1964. Bitch ruined it.

Yea, my pcp also told me bcp didn't affect moods, or if it did, the effect was negligable.  I'm looking for a new pcp, now, I think.  I go to a really great FQHC, which I like, because they need people with insurance to go to keep their status, and the drs do a lot for the community, but I just don't like the pcp.

Morning ladies!

I hear you on the weight loss ladies. I think mine has a lot to do with my age. And I personally just need to work harder at exercising. My food habits arent bad, I'm just lazy.

Its awful weather here today, by the time I got close to work it was white out conditions. Should be a fun ride home. At least DH is on his way home today. Maybe now I can sleep.

Tomorrow I get my hair did. And have a few more projects I want to get done around the house.

Does this happen to anyone else? You have a few weeks of energy and organize and clean everything that gets in your way, then just as suddenly become a part of the couch and dont want to do anything. I need my cleaning spurt back!

My weight didn't fluctuate up or down when I was on BCP or off, but I understand that my experience doesn't tend to be the norm.

I've also had my doctor tell me that BCP doesn't have a link with weight gain, and I know the research pretty much indicates that too. It just seems wrong that so many women have experiences that say otherwise, and I wonder if there's a link that's being missed in the medical research somewhere.
