Need Pros and Cons for the Wheatridge Rec Center. Thinking of using it.

We are on a low budget for a our wedding and the wheatridge rec is in our price range. It looks pretty nice and its a good deal price wise. If you have used it or are thinking of using it please give me your reviews.

    I have used this before.  Here are some thoughts (coming from an event planner perspective):

    PROS: large facility, unique concept, versatile space, lots of parking
    CONS: sterile - you really need a good designer to make it "come to life", a bit "rec center" -- meaning, it's kind of a box with doors, mixing wedding with pool could be interesting (most forget the pool and gym are open - so sweaty, smelly people are amuck).

    PS...some other good low budget venues:
    Foothills Art Center (Golden)
    Translations Art Gallery (downtown)
    Artwork Network (Santa Fe Art District)
