Branson, MO

Yikes I am getting behind in planning. Well I had an estimated date down but last month I got more of a possiblilty of a date. My fiancee told his family that we are getting married this summer. I told him what date i want and he hasn't exactly said yes but im sure it will happen. I want to get married August 6th since it is 1 year after he proposed. Well we are wanting to spend a couple of nights in Branson Missouri. As it is we want something romantic but as cheap as possible since we just moved into a new place and paying on all our bills. If anyone has any ideas of possible places that we could go there that is reasonable and still romantic please let me know. I never had a honeymoon before so I just dont know what all I need to do. Thanks!

Re: Branson, MO

  • I took a trip down there a few years back and we went on a dinner cruise that was very fun. It was a comedy show with a dinner and then the boat crusied around for a couple hours. I don't know the name of it, but it's worth looking into.

  • Oh man I went to Branson when I was like 10 so I don't remember a *ton* but there are lots of fun shows to go to--like dinner theater shows and what not. I also remember a very good Italian restaurant called The Pasta House (?) or something like it, but I don't even know if it's still around! Sorry I'm not more help.  We did rent a condo though, which was really nice and we loved it more than doing a hotel.

    Vacation
  • We stayed at a place called Stillwaters Resort, it's on Table Rock Lake, and you can rent sea doos, fish, and swim in the pools. Then at night we would go into Branson and go to shows or dinner. Check it out! :)
  • We stayed at a really great B&B there, which would be lovely for a honeymoon.  It was pretty reasonably priced if I remember.  It was called the Bradford House, the owners were fantastic and there is a nice little pool there as well.  There is a lot to do in Branson, catch a show or do a dinner cruise as others wrote.

  • Table Rock Lake is a great choice, we rented a pontoon boat and just relaxed all da, it was perfect. Also, if you're into amusement parks- Silver Dollar City was a fun place! Great food! Nice and shaded so it wasn't too hot in the summer. I was pleasantly surprised with Branson and it's surroundings. Good luck!
