chicken and steak?? or fish and steak??

My FI and i are going for a taste testing next week and were wondering if its ok to have seafood and steak as a dinner option or if its better to go the safe route with chicken and steak??

    While I personally would like the seafood/steak option most guests would probably prefer the chicken/steak. Everyone likes chicken (or almost everyone) while it seems to me less like seafood and/or red meat.

    I think either sound great.  Are you sending a reply card with your invitations so your guests know what their choices will be?  If so, and they don't like either choice they will know to eat before they come.  You're never going to please everyone so if you want to go "surf and turf" go for it!

    What kind of seafood?  There are some things that people who will eat seafood generally like, and other things that are more particular.  Can you taste all of them, and pick the two best?

    Are you having a vegetarian option?  That would be considerate for your vegetarian guests, and it would also give people a third option if they didn't like steak or seafood.

    we had this question too....and decided to go with chicken / steak.  i think it works best for most people.  and of course, if someone is a vegetarian, they'll have to let you know.
