My DIY Centerpieces (PIP)

I am really happy that I decided to do my own centerpieces.  I researched and did several trials and finally came up with 2 different centerpieces that we will be using for our ivory and black wedding in October.  I'm not a huge fan of flowers and found the prices the florists quoted to be more than I could justify spending.  So, here is what I came up with.  These will both be on black tablecloths with ivory napkins.

One is a black feather pom on top of a tall decorative candle pillar:

100 gram feather boa (Ebay) = $4.60

1 candle pillar = $15.00

5 inch styrofoam ball (Save-on-crafts) = $2.59

12 inch beveled mirror (Home depot) = $3.33

white LED floralyte (Save-on-crafts) = $2.00

water pearls

Votives

Total Cost = under $30.00 each

The other is an ivory carnation pom on top of a simple cylinder vase:
Ivory silk carnations (approx 40 per) = $20.00

Vase (Dollar Tree) = $1.00

5 inch styrofoam ball (Save-on-crafts) = $2.59

12 inch beveled mirror (Home depot) = $3.33

white LED floralyte = $2.00

water pearls

1 inch black satin ribbon

Votives

Total Cost = around $32.00 each

Is it too much, not enough...?
Thoughts, feedback, suggestions please!

Thanks!
Brooke
