Toledo Brides!!

Hey ladies, I just moved to Toledo in January and know literally NOBODY. I was just wondering if any other brides would want to meet up and discuss the lovely world of wedding sometime?!

That's great ! So what have you gotten done so far ? My wedding isn't til Oct 2013...it was supposed to be July 2012 but some things came up that caused us to push it back ! Where is your ceremony and reception being held at ? What's on the menu ?

Msbdumas- I have gotten the ceremony/reception. We're actually getting married in Columbus Ohio because it's a middle ground for both families. It's called the King Arts Complex. And we're actually having my fiances uncle who owns his own restaurant in Detroit cater the reception. It will be Creole food. I haven't really planned the menue as of yet. But I got my bridesmaids dresses/shoes, my dress/shoes, the venues, dj, a couple photographers I'm looking into, the person to make the cake, the hotel for guests, the location for rehearsal dinner and I know exactly how I want to decorate. I've been a kinda extreme with everything! lol. But I'm glad because that way this stuff won't have me ripping my hair out when the time gets closer you know?- At least with you moving your date back you will have more time to get things together. What have you accomplished so far?

Wow..sounds like you got a lot done ! Creole food sounds yummy ! As for my wedding..I'm starting all over again as far as venue for ceremony/reception, food, and photography..everything like colors, centerpieces, decor etc is staying the same, but still gotta find dresses for the girl and one for me again...its like a double whammy..having to get stressed all over again when we had some of this stuff already checked off !...but I'm ready to get back into it ! Pray for me lol

Oh wow! I can only imagine how stressed you are. I definitely will be praying lol. I'm sure everything will work out fine though! You should definitely try to enjoy the process (again). I always say I have a love/hate relationship with the planning and everything because I get stressed over things, but it's a good kind of stress lol.

yes because now FI wants to move the date to May 25 13..he said no need to wait til Oct...( course if its up to me we would go downtown and get married today lol) so now the pressure is on and we have exactly 13 months today to start planning and get things going...o how im gonna need to the strenght lol

I just moved to toledo as well! the only people i have up here are his parents! id totally meet up to discuss wedding details! Im getting married septemeber 1!
