I bought an Alfred Angelo gown.
I am 5ft Needless to say most gowns are huge on me. I brought my gown to several places and was referred to an "old family friend of my FMIL." Vera of Vera's Corner. My gown had to not only be hemmed from the bottom it had to be hemmed up from the hips becuase of the lacing designs at the bottom. Also, as the gown is a drop hip waist that also had to be altered to fit me at the hip area rather than lower than my hip bone. the breast area had to be altered as well becuase the sweatheart was a little too loose and my boobs would show.
I am very happy with Vera. The cost was $200.00 her phone number is 718-904-1825 she's located at 1671 Unionport Rd., Bronx, NY 10462. I live in poughkeepsie but the 1 1/2 hr. ride to make sure my gown was perfect is worth it.
