  I'd for sure recommend double sided tape over anything else.

  I used both glue and double-sided tape when I made my invitations for my first wedding.  I used the double-sided tape to attach the border paper to the printed invitation paper.  Then I used a few drops of low temp hot glue to attach ribbon bands to the invite (double-sided tape wouldn't stick to the ribbon but it worked fine for the paper.)  My invitations turned out like these: http://www.kaboodle.com/reviews/jean-m.-invitation-set--brown-spice-cream

  Mounting squares in the scrapbook aisle. I use these religously and they are usually cheaper than glue dots
