  Congratulations and welcome to the board!  There's a thread a little ways down that might have some suggestions for you.  I'm no help though, sorry!  I had a special reason for picking my venue and didn't really look elsewhere.

  The aldredge house in dallas is lovely for an outside reception and ceremony and their prices are very reasonable.

  I second Lantana--it would be close to Denton as well.
  
  Also, Sky Creek Ranch Golf Club in Keller
  
  Bridlewood Golf Club in Flower Mound
  
  I think all of them will come out under 10k for your guest list size, I checked into all of them before our list ballooned to 250, and particularly like Lantana.

  how bout winfrey point at white rock lake.  pib.  they have ways to do inside or outside weddings.

  I got married at the Wildwood Inn Bed and Breakfast in Sept. 2008.  I highly recommend them!  They took care of everything!

  I recently went to a wedding at Fairy Tale Manor. They have a cute outdoor area for the ceremony, but inside reception.
