Has anyone ever done wedding pies or seen it done at a wedding? We are having a fall wedding and our thinking about doing pies instead of a traditonal cake. We are just trying to figure out the logistics. My venue said they would cut it but they thought that our guest might not think a piece of pie would be very pretty plated. I was thinking of having a table to display the pies and then after the "pie cutting" ceremony have the pies sliced and the guest go up and take the kind of pie that they want? I'm just not sure how that would work? Any advice?
