DJ in the Jacksonville/Ponte Vedra area!

We are looking for a DJ/Announcer for our ceremony and reception (all in the same location) and have a few on our favorites list. Just curious as to what a good/average price is for a good DJ?! Not looking to take the cheap way out, but not looking at getting ripped off either! Is there a happy medium?!

    We're paying $550 for our four-hour reception.  We got a $50 discount off his regular rate since ours is on a Sunday.  I've seen prices ranging from $500-$1,000 depending on how long you need the DJ...it's more if you need him to do music for the ceremony also (we're paying musicians with our church for that).  Hope that helps :)

    I'm using McGee Entertainment and they are charging us $595 for 5 hours.
