Oh crap...shower gift?

Was I supposed to get the hosts of my shower a gift?  My sisters "hosted" but my mom paid for the whole thing.  I sent them each a thank you card.  Crap, I clearly have learned nothing from posting on the knot for a year. Frown

    You can always get them a belated gift.  Although, could you take them all out for lunch or dinner or something? Food is always a great way to say "Thanks!"

    I like Kat's idea. Drinks and desserts are two of my favorite things! You could also do mani/pedi's or something.

    Hmm perhaps taking them out would still work.  So just to be clear, I was supposed to do something, right?

    But, yes.... I believe you are supposed to give your hostess(es) a gift.

    I spaced out and forgot about it as well. 

    I wrote a thank you card a week later and sent a present with the card.

    I have now consulted Emily Post and realized I'm a total screw up.  Eh, it's not the first time I've realized this.  I'll figure out something to do.

    I think a thanks card or some snack you make yourself will be a good idea :-)
    Usually I will take long time for choosing gifts for freinds and families...
