Whose address for RSVP??

I'm printing and making my own invitations. Whose address should go on the RSVP? The parents who are hosting the wedding or mine? Or I guess I could put their name and my address?

Re: Whose address for RSVP??

  • Traditionally RSVPs would go to whoever was hosting (normally parents of the bride).  However, nowdays you should put the address of whoever is going to keep track of the RSVPs.  It's perfectly fine to have them sent to you if you are going to be keeping track of the guests.  If you're having them sent to your address, you should put your name on the envelopes, not your mom.
  • FMIL is taking care of ours since we are out of state and getting married back home. She is going to add them up and give the final count for the reception. I am just addressing them to her, since I don't think FFIL will be doing much of it.
  • Ditto Sara. My parents actually whined about this. I wanted to have them sent to me so I could track them easier, but my parents complained that since they were hosting, their name should be on the return address.

  • My parents are hosting, but i put my address on the rsvps. I just told my mom that i would take care of organizing them. I really dont think anyone is going to notice that it was my address and not my parents. its just an rsvp
