Yeah, I do that.  I mean, I'm already in my PJ's for her 10pm walk.  Or when she has tummy issues at 2am.
In Response to Re: I judge... : I mean, it's not like FI deserves a medal for holding the door open for a person who obviously could use the help, but damn. Saying "thank you" goes a long way.
Posted by laurenclaire1386
Indeed. It doesn't take a whole lot of effort to say it and let someone know their manners/kindness is appreciated.

ETA: And on this note, I obviously judge people who don't say thank you when someone does something nice for them.
• People who litter. I saw a guy throw a cup on the ground right in front of me the other day. I really wanted to say, "Hey! You dropped your cup." But H would have been embarassed.

I also judge people who don't acknowledge when I hold the door open for them, or let their car turn in front of me, or when I back up to let them cross my driveway. Also, I held the door open for someone the other day who walked right through, and then someone else came up and walked through. I'm not just going to stand here all day with it open.

• I judge parents that take their young kids out in public w/o their hair brushed and clean clothes on.  I get that hair gets messy by the end of the day - but there's a huge difference between a messed up days hairdo and bed head.

I double judge if the parent is all super made up and has a kid that is unkempt.

I judge the part timers at my job...........b/c they're supposed to be FULL TIME but never end up working 40 hours in a week.  EVER.  Guess who gets the slack of all that?  ME.

Don't judge me, Kiki!

I judge myself when I wear PJ pants to walk my dog though, so actually you can judge me for that one.

Double judge if it's a Disney themed wedding.

I judge the FUN (caps= theirs) activity committee at my office for sending around emails demanding that we all sign up to bring side dishes for the sad potluck they're organizing.  I clearly don't want to prepare yams for 80.  Please stop asking.
• I judge the fellow BM in my BFF's wedding who refused to put anything in towards the shower, not even the money to cover just HER plate when the rest of us put in well more than we could afford. Even the BM who had to fly here for it and is just as tight financially not only put in her share of the split but reimbursed me for something I picked up for her. The rest of us paid for the shower, door prizes, BFF's gift, etc and she refused even $20. But got drunk at the bar the night before and went for Bloody Marys with most of the girls after the shower.

Glad I had a spare $275 laying around to cover all of this so you can maintain your drinking habits.

• I have work sweat pants to the grocery store.  I have no problem with that.

And I had no problem walking the dog in sweats/PJs.

• You all are making me feel judged for wanting pajama jeans.  But it doesn't make me want them any less.

I judge the cashier at the gas station last night for chatting on the phone.  I felt like I was interupting her trying to pay for my stuff.
I put my cell phone down any time I am requiring someone else's time or attention, please give me the same respect.

• I might get flamed for this, but I judge parents who put their kids on "leashes". They're kids, not dogs! I realize they like to run around, but you don't have to tether them to you, hold their hand. (This is, of course, my childless view on things).
image
• I judge that fact that girls in my home town keep getting knocked up by the same guy. 6 kids later you THINK you would think twice before letting him park the car in the garage. but whaaaatever.
image
• I already said dog-walking is acceptable in Kiki's Guide to Judging.  I was thinking more stores, airplanes... it bugs me.

WTF are pajama jeans?  That sounds awful.
image
• I don't think sweat pants in public are bad.  As long as they aren't your painting sweat pants or have holes all in them - or LOOK like you clearly just slept in them, completely mis shapen and bottom drooping.....I think you're good then.

I judge anyone on a cell phone while standing in line anywhere. Especially the girl at Target last week who apologized to the person on the cell phone when the cashier had to ask a question and interrupted their conversation. She really should have been apologizing to the cashier for being a self-absorbed asshat.

• I'm pissy at my MIL for saying we could give a friend of mine their (very rarely used) extra queen sized mattress and then later changing her mind because she'd rather sell it, but I don't think I can really JUDGE her for that because, well, it's her property.

I do judge her for complaining to H how it's going to cost them (the ILs) $900 in gas to drive their truck up from FL to clean out this house.  Cry me a river, lady, no one MADE you move to FL and decide to leave all of your shiit up here.

I'd love to cut those people in line and say, "Oh, clearly you weren't ready to give the cashier your full attention, so I'll just go ahead of you."

Kiki, I usually wear track pants on planes. Because I usually take red eyes, so I'll be sleeping. Still wouldn't wear pajamas though. In fact, I'm jealous of people who look cute when they go to the airport.

• At my little sister's middle school, kids wear pj pants to school.  I mean, we used to do that for special days (like spirit days or pairing them with our musical t-shirts), but not a daily basis.  I judge the parents for letting them leave the house like that.

I'm not very full of judgements today though.
• Pants like that always end up being high waters and up the b*tt on everyone involved.

I used to work in property management and had to take rent checks every month. We had such a problem with cell phones that I made a sign and hung it ON the door to the office. When one girl came in on her phone I ignored her. When she got all pissy with me I told her not to use her phone in the office anymore or I wouldn't help her. She told me we should put a sign up or something. ::facepalm::
