Wedding Woes

Oh, Husband

When we were planning our wedding, I asked H his opinion about two bridesmaid dresses. He picked the short one, "because they could wear it again."

I laughed and he asked why. I told him that is something only narcissistic brides say and no one ever wears these dresses again.

From then on out, I planned pretty much everything, but the food - which is all he ever cares about. Of course, I consulted with him, but didn't expect and opinion or a whole lot of thought.

He was very sweet and offered to go with me when I went dress shopping because I was going alone, and wanted to offer me company. That meant more to me than picking out flowers because I was going to see the DJ, or some crap.

My mom's outfit was nice and could picture her wearning it again. Can I see my sister who works in a bar (where they throw white trash parites) wearing a pink satin, tea-lengthed dress again? NO.

Yeah, probably not. She wore it to a ball 2 christmases ago, and it worked perfectly. Granted, it was black and floor length, so it worked.

    That was sweet of him.

I had black floor length gowns too.  Everyone but my sister who was 8 months pg has worn it at least once.

My sister wore her BM gown to her jr. prom. I did not expect that at all, but she liked the dress, even 3 years later.

If we have a girl, I'll probably make a couple of dresses out of the BM dress I wore for EDFJ's wedding.

My BMs are choosing their own dresses so if they can't wear them again, it's their own damned fault!

Sorry your FI is not being helpful but men can't tell the difference in dresses. I don't think mine has even clued into the fact that I bought an actual wedding dress yet.
