    Edie-
We are currently renting a townhouse, and while we are allowed to have pets, I just don't think we have enough room for anything else right now.

We're living in 832 square feet and barely have enough room for all of our stuff AND a puppy.

We know a couple who have two Yorkies, edie.  They had them for like, three years and then one year they sent us a Christmas card with two different dogs (they had different names).  We are friends with the guy's brother so we asked him if the dogs died, so they got two new ones?  No.  The wife decided one day she wanted girl dogs instead of boy dogs, so she just changed their names.

I wish I was making that up.

It's better than just getting rid of the dogs, I guess.

  • Well, hello there, Sir Whisky!!  Nice to see your handsome face.

  • I was a communication/journalism major and after I got my internship I partied (read: blacked out) with my TV station colleagues a lot.  One night after a nice sit down dinner, we all went downtown and spent a few hours drinking in the bars.  I vaguely remember being passed out in a booth, getting flung over some guy's shoulder and carried down the street to a house party.  I woke up in our weatherman's apartment, on a futon, with another weather team guy on the other side of the couch.  I looked up and beheld the most ridiculous sight I'd ever seen: their entire kitchen was full of piles of empty beer cans.  They even had two industrial sized garbage cans in their living room, overflowing with empty beer cans.

I was supposed to be at work at the restaurant I worked at in a half hour.  And I made it on time, lol.

<div>This is one of the weirdest things I've ever heard.  Aside from one of my parents neighbors who wanted a girl, but had all boys, so, to the mom, the youngest was her "girl."  He even had long hair like a girl and wore girly-ish clothes (no dresses though). </div>

Oh yeah I had a friend like that too.  He owned no other glassware other than stuff he'd kyped from bars.

And he had a ton of them.

We live in a 565 sq ft apartment with two full grown boxers.

Yeah...my thing was mainly the bar glasses. The one bar we went to has 50 beers on top, most rotating. So every Tuesday night was pint night. If you bought the beer on special you got to take home the glass it came in (each beer had an different glass) since they were about to rotate that beer out. This creates problems though when you go and get drunk on any day other than Tuesday because you're in the habit. We have an insane pint glass collection.

I also came home from my bachelorette pary wearing the male reader's boxer shorts under my dress. He just happened to be at the same pub we went too. My MOH had brought this card game that was having me do stupid things. He rememberd a few months back he'd been at the bar and a different bachelorette needed his boxer shorts signed for a differnt game. So he gave them too her. She used his signature to facebook find him and return them later. He just happened to be wearing them that night. It wasn't one of my cards but there were 2 make your own cards... so yeah. After he went to the bathroom to take them off, my BMs lifted off my dress in the bar to put them on me.
  • I occasionally post. I'm newly married...an accountant.

I'll give you a gross college drunk story:
I went to a wine tasting in college with some of my friends, about an hour away from campus. I managed to get so hammered at the tasting, that when we were on the way to the car, I decided I had to use the bathroom first. On the way toward the bathroom, and for no apparent reason (other than being drunk), I fell to the ground and hit my head on a bench on the way down. I agreed to sit b!tch in the back seat of the car. Passed out. Woke up to being sick out one of the side windows, except it didn't really make it out the window, It instead made it inside the window, and on my friend.

Also, a few new years eves ago, H's friend was pretty drunk. ANd peed on my foot when I was in bed at about 1am. He had no recollection of the event. We've since realized he can't do hard alcohol.

    There. We're officially bonded.

  • My furbaby, Buddy, a couple years ago. He hated that sweater.
  • I'm a newbie too. Currently not working, just enrolled in school full-time.

As for drunken stories, I have way more than my share. About 5 years ago I was in a modeling show and in order to calm my nerves I took 4 shots of vodka. The first two walks went great. The last one I fell off of the stage.
Another story: I went out barhopping with my girlfriends. We were drinking Minderasers all night, they dropped me off and instead of walking into my house I crossed the street and went into my neighbors house. Took a shower, changed clothes and fell asleep. The next morning I woke up to them poking me and asking me what I wanted for breakfast. I thought they were in my house! Took a few moments to realize that I was the one who did the B&E. *shakes head*

This is one reason why I no longer drink liquor.

Fi and I don't have any furbabies because he is allergic. we do have 3 fish though. One is a guppy that he has had for 2.5 years.

I don't have any drunk stories.
  • I'm sure I have drunk stories, I just don't remember any of them.

  • I'll recipe share.

We are having a "snack luck" at work today and I made my famous Pico. Seriously... you would think this was crack how people tear through it.

3 large, firm avocados, peeled and diced
    3 large, firm tomatoes, diced
    2 white onions, diced
about a cup of fresh cut cilantro
    2 jalapenos, diced
    garlic salt to taste
    salt and pepper to taste
    lime juice to taste

This lasted about 2 hours at my office today. FI is going to be mighty dissapointed when I get home without it.

  • Ah- I'll also add that I made my first tres leches cake last night and brought it in. Took a slice for myself and realized the brandy taste was quite strong. Took it back. Could have led to some fun drunk coworker stories though...

Coworker brought in a rum cake.  So much rum, the cake was sitting in a puddle on the plate.  Boss took a large slice to eat during a conference call.  3/4 of the way through the cake he looks up and asks 'is there BOOZE in this cake?'.  Um, yeah, about a quart of rum.
