Where to include registry information?

I am working on getting my invitations printed and am wondering where I should include information about where I am registered. I do not have a wedding website and am not interested in creating one.

Do I inlclude a seperate smaller card with this info? I have the main invite, directions/accomodation card, and the RSVP card.

What is proper? HELP! Thanks!

You don't include any registry information on or with your wedding invitations.  Shower invitations are fine though.

  • How do I let guests that are not invited to showers know then?
  • Word of mouth. You absolutely do not put registry info in or on the wedding invitations. It's rude and gift-grabby. If people want to know where you're registered they'll ask.

If they ask, you can let them know where you are registered.  But to include it on/with the invitations gives the impression that gifts are required or expected.

Guests should also be able to search for your registry online too.

  • Thanks everyone for the help!
  • They may ask you when RSVPing, if they call to tell you (I had more people call than send in the card). It's common here to put registry info on invites, so when I didn't, everyone just asked instead. Make sure your parents know now as they may field the questions for you as well, it really helped me out.
