Hair/Make up pricing in Monmouth County

Hello everyone!

I don't post here often, but I am so stressed out and desperate for advice. My wedding is in August, and I am scrambling somewhat for a make up and hair stylist. I just found out that someone I requested more info from is available, however she charges $150 for a hair/makeup trial, $275 for day of hair and make up, and $175 for bm hair and make up. This seems like an awful lot to me (especially the $150 for a trail). Am I being unreasonable? I feel like the extremely high cost of absolutely everything (don't get me started on the limo!) has truly taken all of the fun out of planning this day. :(

Does anyone have an suggestions for people in the central Jersey area who offer better deals?

    I'm using Jeanine Mangan for makeup, she charges $50 for a trial and $150 for day-of, plus BM makeup is about $85.  She lives in central NJ.  Check out her site, http://jmmakeupdesigns.com/.  Good luck!

    I'm using Nicole Chiaro from Unforgettable Faces for makeup; she does not do hair. Her prices were the lowest I'd seen (for 5+ faces I'm paying in the $70 range pp for air brush).

    Karina from SHear Glamor in Toms River does great hair and is like $55 for a trial and $85 day of. If she travels to you the price goes up a little, but if you go to the shop with your group you get breakfast and mimosas! I had a makeup trial with her too, but felt like a hooker so I am having a friend do makeup instead.

    That does seem a little higher than what I have seen. I think you can get a good makeup andhair stylist to come to you for less.

    I used Leigh Ann Brubaker out of Marlton for make up (I have my review on the NNJ Reviews page).  She is out of South Jersey, but she came up to Monmouth County for my wedding.  She was very reasonably priced - between $55 and $75 depending on airbrush or traditional, and she gives a discount if you book 5 or more people.
