I am looking for unique ceremony and reception venues in Lexington area. I like Headley-Whitney Museum and Keeneland, however, both places are expensive and there's also additional fees as well. I know there are a few wineries close to Nicholasville. Is there any horse farms that allow weddings? Thanks!

The Thoroughbred Center is a Keeneland property and allows weddings.

There is the Bell House. Went to a winter wedding/reception there and it was beautiful. You could also look into the Henry Clay Estate it's beautiful as well.

Oh, or the Black Barn at the Cardome Center in Georgetown. That's where I'm getting married. Don't know how I forgot to list that one!

It's pretty cheap too

I googled local horse farms and started emailing everyone; unfortunately I didn't have any luck but I gave up early. I would definitely suggest just emailing the local farm managers to see if anyone allows them. Especially if you mention that you'd be bringing everything needed and taking everything back out so there would be no cleaning, pick up, etc. they might be more inclined.
