Is anyone else bothered by this?

1.) Footloose remake. Why remake a classic? That's like them redoing gone with the wind and replacing everyone with half naked sexually appealing women in daisy dukes.

2.) Christmas stuff is out already. Seriously? It's not even Halloween yet!! And what about poor Thanksgiving? That always gets passed over, and that's just not fair. It's such a great holiday - no contraversy. If someone says "Happy Thanksgiving!" No one gets up in arms about it....

3.) I went to the movies lately and spent $22 just on two tickets. Matinee. Oh. My. God.

Just curious : p

#3. FI and I always do matinees now. Night movies are not an option. It's crazy. I can't imagine how much the movies would be if we had a family!

Yeah, I couldn't believe it. I remember when people got all freaked out because the matinee tickets got up to $6.

    (1) I hate all these remakes, and re-edited 3D movies from older ones, It's like creators can't make a new idea movie. And when they do it's almost already done before by something else. I hope to see new exciting movies!
    (2) Where I work we have had christmas out since July. And just now getting halloween, and no thanksgiving stuff. Weird, huh?
    (3) I get two tickets from costco for $15 to go see movies, or dollar theatres! ;) I remember it use to be two tickets, popcorn, drink for under $10 TOTAL. What's up with this.
I hope the world gets better. These are the small things, but still. Times are hard financially for everyone. Especially for us trying to plan our weddings on our budgets!!! ;)

    1. can we discuss that theres no original thought this season? they're remaking footloose AND the three musketeers. and this seasons new shows? charlies angels and hawaii five-o. really? can we not think about new plot lines.
    2. the christmas stuff is right beside the halloween stuff. really? do we skip thanksgiving now? like i know it's a holiday centered around eating, but it's such a good holiday!
    3. we don't go to the movies anymore. it's just ridiculous.

I rarely go. My best friend's favorite movie of all time is The Lion King so we just HAD to go see the 3D re-release. And it was pretty awsome. So worth the money we spent on the tickets.

And of course since I'm such a nerd I just HAD to go see the last Harry Potter. That was worth it too.

And we went and saw Rango on a girls day out.

Oh, so that's why I'm broke LOL

    1. Amen. Ugh.
    2. Really? Really? I mean, I start my gift shopping early but this is ridiculous.
    3. Yeah, FI and I usually spend about that much to go. We go maybe once or twice a month. We're naughty though and sneak in candy from the dollar store. It's the exact same candy! For $1! I just have to plan ahead. I also bring in a water bottle.

    1. Yes! If it's not broke don't fix it! We need some more original writers around here. 2. I know! Thanksgiving always gets passed over! Can't we enjoy the holidays as they come? Not rush through them I am excited about Christmas but I would like to enjoy thanksgiving as well. 3. I know the prices of movies are ridiculous!
