19 Days of Harry Potter: 5 Days to go!

It's late, I know... but I wasn't able to get on earlier than now and I don't want Matilda to be disappointed in me.

Anyway...
I missed the Quidditch World Cup this year because I was sick. Does anyone feel bad for me? No? Even a little?

The New York movie premiere is tomorrow. I can't go to that, either, because I'm sick. Anyone feel bad for me now?
I don't blame you, I don't feel bad for me, either. It was bound to happen. I get my hopes up for even a second and I get sick. This is always the way it is. :(

If you could play any position on a Quidditch team, which would you choose?
If you could meet one of the actors... JUST ONE... which would you choose?

  • I'd play the spectator, because I have a feeling that even as a witch, I wouldn't be good at sports.

And I'd like to meet..... Kenneth Branagh, because I'm a fan of his work on Shakespeare plays and I bet we'd have a lot to talk about. Or Emma Thompson, because she is a great broad.

Wouldn't it be nice to live together in the kind of world where we belong?
  • Seriously only 5 more days to go til I don't have to see this thread anymore?

Haha, since I opened it, I'll play anyways.
I didn't even know there were different positions in quidditch.  So if there's one that just flys around trying to knock people off of their brooms, I'd be that one.

And I'd meet Harry, just to ask him how we are supposed to take him serious as a child in wizard school after he performed nude in a play.

I'm not so fun at this I guess.

  • Hmmm, I think being a beater would be fun.

I don't know who I'd want to meet. Does J.K. Rowling count? I'd really like to meet her.

  • Only 5 more days! Yay!

I would be a beater! Gotta kick some ass. I really want to meet Emma Watson! Hermione is my favorite! :)
  • I'd like to be a color analyst, although I wouldn't be able to stop laughing.  Lee Jordan is pretty damn funny.

I'd like to meet Emma Thompson.  I've always enjoyed her work.

I guess the Beater is the closest position to that.
<em>A player who protects other players from <a href="http://www.hp-lexicon.org/magic/devices/devices-b.html#bludger">Bludgers</a> while attempting to hit the <a href="http://www.hp-lexicon.org/magic/devices/devices-b.html#bludger">Bludgers</a> toward opposing players using a small <a href="http://www.hp-lexicon.org/magic/devices/devices-b.html#bat_beaters">bat</a>.
    <a href="http://www.hp-lexicon.org/quidditch/quidditch-encyc.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.hp-lexicon.org/quidditch/quidditch-encyc.html</a></em>

And lol, I saw him in Equus and he was really good. Honest! I think if he had, like, leaked naked text pictures of himself or flashed a crowd at a club while drowning in his own puke I would have a harder time taking him seriously as a child actor.

I dunno if JKR counts, she wasn't technically in any of the films. I'll let her count, though. I'd love to meet her, too.
Out of the actors, though? James Phelps.... So cute. So, so cute.

Oh and as for my Quidditch position? A chaser or a beater. Probably beater. Not a seeker, though... I don't have the patience for that... And I was also crap at playing goalie when we had to do soccer in school and camp.

Hahahaha I totally agree!! With both parts, knocking people off their brooms position and asking Daniel how I am ever going to look at him the same again!

But I do LOVEEE HP so I will be sad to see this tread go!
