Wedding Woes

Good news and bad news:

Bad news: There is concern that the tumor might be pressing on or trying to grow into my pancreas. It also looks like it may have spread to a couple lymph nodes. So, looks like there's gonna be some WonderChemo in my future. Bring on the pirate scarves!

Good news: Liver, kidneys and all other surrounding organs are clear. There was a small clump of vessels on my liver, but it's not cancerous.

I think my doctor was more depressed than I am. I have a surgery consultation tomorrow morning and an apt w/ an oncologist on Monday. Somebody fire up the Rocky music!

    If anyone can rock a pirate scarf, it's you, Lady.

    I'm glad your other organs are clear.

    good thing with your liver is that even if they decide to take a small part, it will regenerate.

    maybe CW can donate some closet hair for a wig.

    WonderChemo huh? This cancer is going to die a quick, humilating death. It truly picked the wrong woman to fck with.

    Honestly, I didn't ask about the staging. I don't really care what stage it is. My main question is, "How do I fix this?"

    I think you probably have a cute petite head.

    You just let me know if you want some worship cds to play during your treatments.:)

    I know us Western people think we have the market cornered on cancer treatment, but they might also be some other kind of treatments out there too.

    Praying for clarity and direction for your treatment.

    ::snort@ hmo::

    Nola, I will take the praise CDs. I also have a relic from a Catholic church in NOLA coming, some kind of Muslim prayer rug and a Hindu shrine coming my way. I'm not turning away prayer/ vibes/ good wishes from any source.

    True re: the hair.

    My friend A had hair that was straight as a pin before Chemo and it all grew back curly.  She had the cutest hair.

    You could also rock some adorable hats!
