Rehersal dress

My daughter is having a hard time deciding on rehersal dresses.

I suggested she wear a traditional dress of her heritage, so that part would be honored in some form, her Grandfather will do the Father-Daughter dance(he is the one who came to the states and started this family) My daughter is also wearing her GGGgrandmothers shawl that she was married in.

She does like the idea of it as well, what are your thoughts? Has anyone else implemented something like this in thiers? Is it "too" much?

I didn't know people actually go out and shop for a rehearsal dress. Enough money is spent on the whole wedding and shower attire. I am just going to grab a sundress that is in my closet.

Rehersal dress is what ever you would like to wear, some buy a new dress just for that and others don't , same with a "going away" dress.it is totally up to you

I happen to be a BIG fan of sundresses myself.

I would let her choose what she wants to wear, something she'll feel good in and be comfortable in.

I am letting her choose what she would like to wear, I think she only likes the idea bc it's one less thing to stress over......when I presented it to her I stated under no circumstances whould she hurt my feelings if she declined and stated it's HER wedding and she is what is important.

She wore one simular to this when she was 5 and it was her kindergarten pic. I just want her to be like suggested comfortable, and beautiful and with NO regrets on any of her decisions.

I just want to make sure it isn't too much or inappropriate...thank you for all your reponses

NMS, but if she is comfortable, and there is deep meaning behind it go for it! there are other things to be worried about other then the rehearsal dinner dress.
