Hello ladies! I have been married almost one year (wow) and my hubby purchased a matching anniversary band that is exactly the same as my wedding band. I have been debating for over 5 months now, as to how I should get the 3 rings soldered together. Both of the bands are curved because the diamond sits low and a straight band would not sit flush. Below is the E ring by itself. My favorite part about the ring is the side detailing, which is the main reason why I am needing your opinions here! The diamond is sits so low that once I add the two bands on each side it completely covers the side detailing and i feel like it it engulfs the diamond ( I did not think about ANY of this when purchasing!). I always wanted a diamond that sat a little higher...so I was thinking of having the two curved bands soldered opposite of what they normally are. This would allow me to still see the side detailing because the E ring would literally sit on top of where the two bands meet.
E ring by itself-detailing i don't wanna cover up!
Below is the option that looks pretty...BUT the side detailing is completely covered AND the diamond sits so low that I feel like it is engulfed. Hubby likes it this way. I do too BUT I wanted more of a higher sitting diamond (restructuring of the ring is not an option).
This is another option (the one I am leaning towards). I have the two bands "inverted." The E ring sists on top of where the twp curves touch.
below is a pic of a side view of how it would look. Does it look silly?
Another view to help you understand my crazy debate! lol
Finally, below is another pic of how it would look if I soldered it it the regular way.
Ladies, I know my E ring is not the biggest but I do love it...I just don't know about covering up my favorite part of the ring! The ladies at 2 different jewelery stores prefer it to be inverted (they agree with me). But I am so torn. Just need honest opinions. Returning bands for other bands, restructuring the E ring, etc, are not something we are interested in. Sorry for the long drawn out post ladies...but I just really need your opinions here.
I would really appreciate it!
