Venue -- Art Gallery, B&B, Outdoor ceremony

Can ANYONE help me find a unique venue location? I'm looking for a place where we can have an outdoor ceremony, hang our own lighting and is quaint. Anthing helps!!

I have looked into the Heights Firestation, but you can't decorate or bring kegs upstairs. Also checked out The Rainbow Lodge and that was a dud. I'm interested in a place that allows CREATIVITY.

Thank you!

Have you looked into the Gallery? It is in downtown. I was planning on using this for our reception, but our date was booked. I really liked it because it is unique without being overly quirky.

Yes, I checked it out, but my budget is 5k total for entire wedding and also I don't like the style of this venue. I'm looking for an outdoor feel. I'm considering a park, but no idea WHERE...

I know it is an hour north of Houston, but the state park in Huntsville has a lodge that they rent out for weddings. Rental for a whole day is 350.00 and it is right on the lake that is in the park and is surrounded by tress. I have pictures from a wedding I went to there if you were interested.

This place is up at Sam Houston, but might be something you are looking for. I helped shoot a wedding there and it was a cute place. They strung lights inside and had the ceremony overlooking the lake

My aunt was married in an artist loft in Houston. The rooms were all white and there was an area to dance. We were able to decorate the two rooms. The only catch was that the wedding was open to anybody. Also, look into the Patio on Mercer it looks pretty and is a fairly basic

You also might try Oak Tree Manor. I really loved it.

My husband and I were considering an art gallery wedding. There was one place I really liked called Bering and James Art Gallery. They have since, changed their name to Bering Art Collective. Here's the website:

I looked into SEVERAL art galleries in Houston and this one was my favorite. Their prices were very reasonable (I believe is was $1000-$1500 to rent the space) and they allow you to decorate.

They don't have a outside space like you said you wanted but it may be worth looking into.

You used to be able to rent the Asian Gazebo in Hermann Park for real cheap (I want to say $50 or so) but you have to pay for security.  The Houston Garden Center (next to the Gazebo) can also be rented, but they didn't allow alcohol to be served in the facility.

I was looking for the same type of thing, but unfortunately most parks will not allow alcohol on the premises.
