Engagement Photos Jax FL

I just got engaged a few weeks ago and I'm looking for a place in town for great engagement photos. I'm not exactly familiar with Jacksonville so I really need help on this one! Everyone has told me the beach, but my fiance and I want something different. Our theme is vintage, 1940s, classic, elegant, and simple. We want these engagement photos to reflect that theme. I'm thinking a place that has great architecture to serve as a beautiful background. HELP!

    St. Augustine has lots of classic architecture and many great places for photo opps! Amelia Island could be nice also.

    Thanks! I have only been to St. Augustine to visit the historical district. Where specifically in St. Augustine would you suggest?

    The Lightner has a great courtyard, but I believe your photographer has to get a license/some sort of permission from them to shoot there or you'll get kicked out. My photographer did some of my bridal portaits there one my wedding day but we weren't there super long so we didn't get in trouble.     There's in and around Flagler College, not sure what the policy is about photographing on campus.

    The fort is awesome and on the water.

    And in and around the shopping district around St. George Street...so many cute streets/buildings/shops!

    My FI and I just took our e-pics yesterday in St. Augustine.  I can post you a link once they're up so you can see it, but we took them in the historic walking area, where there were little shops and such.  It was very fun, and all very pretty.

    I agree. We did ours in St. Augustine. I love it there and the pictures came out great. Congrats!

    Thanks everyone for the suggestions! We would have taken our pics weeks ago if we just had a location. I keep forgetting to use this site more, so useful for us brides!
