Wedding Day Recap! (long)

Hi everyone!  We returned from our honeymoon Tuesday night & I've been busy settling in since then, sorry it took a while to come back and post a recap!  In a nutshell, everything was perfect :-)  Here are the details...

Thursday-  My *husband* finally started to feel a little better by Thurs morning, thank goodness.  He was almost completely recovered on Fri, and was fully recovered by the honeymoon.  Anyway, I ran around doing last minute stuff on Thurs, then met some of my bridesmaids for mani/pedis.  The rehearsal was quick and stress-free, and the dinner at Chippiarelli's was great!  My sister and I stayed at the Hyatt that night.

Friday-  We slept in a little, Jamie from Baltimore Bridal came around 11 to start the first bridesmaid's hair, I didn't start my hair/makeup til 1:30 so during that time I just hung out in our room with the bridesmaids.  Once I sat down for Jamie to start my hair it felt a LOT more real!  The hotel gave us a separate room where I met our photographer and Megan from Baltimore Bridal, we did photos there having makeup done and getting dressed.  Then it was time for our reveal!  I was soooo nervous getting on the elevator to go to see (DH- is that the married term now instead of FI?), I teared up a little in the hallway.  But once we did the reveal I was calm for most of the rest of the night.  I am so so so glad that we did a reveal before the ceremony!  He looked incredibly handsome in his tux, and he was surprisingly calm!  We did formals inside and outside of the Hyatt, then headed to the church.  Again I got nervous as I was about to walk down the aisle, but that went away quickly.  The ceremony was simple but lovely and meaningful, I'm glad that we had a friend record it for us so that we can re-live it!  We did more photos in the church then it was back to the Hyatt for the reception.  When we were introduced into Pisces, I couldn't believe how beautiful it was!  It truly was my city-chic vision in every way, the view was AMAZING.  I had forgotten how great it was b/c we hadn't seen it at night since January when we booked the venue, we got tons of compliments.  We did our first dance right after our intro and toasts right after that, so after dinner we went around to talk to everyone, cut the cake, and had plenty of time to dance.  After the reception, around 12:30am, we went up to our very large suite and the Hyatt had decorated it with rose petals on the floor and the bed, and stocked it with food, cake and alcohol, it was awesome!!  We felt like royalty, the Hyatt was seriously amazing in every way!

So.... overall the wedding was perfect and we were both so happy!  My fiance had been really nervous about being the center of attention leading up to wedding day- after wedding day, my husband couldn't stop talking about how perfect everything was and how much he actually loved being the center of attention :-)

As far as things not going exactly as planned, there wasn't too much!  My bouquet wrap was wrong but the flowers themselves were beautiful, so no big deal.  The only other thing is actually kind of funny... one of our groomsmen was short, so we intentionally paired him with my short bridesmaid, and the last groomsman (who is tall) was going to escort 2 of my other bridesmaids.  Somehow the guys accidentally switched places during the ceremony, so the short groomsman escorted the 2 tall bridesmaids down the aisle after the ceremony, 1 on either side, and they were seriously at least 6" taller than him!  When DH and I saw the picture on FB, we started cracking up!  But everything else was great, our vendors were great, and we loved every minute of our wedding day, ceremony and reception.

Now I'm just kind of sad that it's all over and we have to go back to everyday life, it's so much less exciting!  I'll post complete vendor reviews in my bio and will add some photos too, once we get our photos back.  Now it's time to switch into Twilight mode!  Lol.

CONGRATS!  Yay!  I have been wondering if your DH would make a turn around and I'm so glad he did and was able to enjoy your night :)  I was really worried when I met up with you to get the vases on Wednesday and you said he still felt worse than ever.
