Venue help

Hi

My fiancé and I are looking for an urban/industrial wedding venue in downtown or close to it for both ceremony and reception. We expect 100 ppl and want to stay away from a tradition ballroom.

We also like Josaphats Art Gallery but that's a little too expensive.

Thanks!

I'm drawing a blank for the name but there is a nice upscale resturant/banquet location in the old powerhouse building where the aquarium now is and the room overlooks the Cuyahoga River. It might give you that feel.Only thing to take into consideration is that if you area planning a summer wedding that there is a concert venue right behind the building music from a concert will probably be heard in the building even with a DJ going and parking may be a little more challenging too.

I think the above poster is talking about Windows on the River.  I don't know if they changed their requirements, but I think they require a 150 person minimum.

You may want to check out Spaces Gallery or Viaduct Lounge... I'm not sure of capacity, but both are cool spaces.  Viaduct Lounge was a restaurant but switched to soley private events and has an AMAZING view of downtown.

Check out House of Blues. I don't know if it's industrial, but its certainly not a ballroom feel. I got married there about two months ago (ceremony and reception) and couldn't have been happier with how the day went. Everything was run incredibly smoothly, and the staff is out of this world. (So is the lighting and sound system...which is INCLUDED :))
