Table Number Cards and Menus

I'm going to design my own table number cards and menus. What is the appropriate paper size for a table number card and a menu? I'm planning on doing the long thin "tea length" menus that fit in a menu fold napkin. I'm probably going to put the table numbers in a number stand but I might frame them and put them on the table if I can find cheap enough frames.

I'm also doing long menus. I don't think size matters for table numbers.

As long as the table numbers are big enough to be readable - it's all good. Mine are tent cards that (folded) are 5.5x5.5.
