LJM Bridal in Schaumburg?

I found a gorgeous dress at LJM in Schaumburg on Golf Road but I am concerned because I haven't heard of them before or anyone who has used them.  Please let me know if you have had any experience (good or bad) with them or know someone who has.

Thank you!

I have not heard of it....apparently it is a newer shop.  I did find mixed reviews on yelp.....

and apparently they have a Facebook page......

And it seems to be the start of a small chain....they have other locations...

If you are concerned, perhaps you could google the dress you found there, and see if other shops carry it.  How did you feel about the experience you had shopping there?  Was it crowded?  Was the staff helpful and knowledgeable?

Thanks!  All of their dresses are made by their in house designers so I supposedly won't be able to find it anywhere else.  It was fairly busy in here and I loved my consultant but saw the same Yelp comments that you did so I am concerned.  The style of dress I want isn't common so finding it and loving it makes this decision even harder.

I visited their Oak Lawn/95th Street location a few weeks ago.  They were very nice.  Some of their dresses were exceptionally provocative, but I guess everyone has different tastes.

One tool I have used when judging the reputation of a bridal store is searching them on the better business bureau website. This might not be so helpful with a newer store though.

I got my dress at the Oak Lawn 95th Street location (not provacative at all, haha, but yes, there is definately a very provacative dress when you first walk in the store!). A coworker also got her dress at the Oak Lawn location as well and she rcmnd it. I ordered my dress back in December, it was here in February. A TON earlier than I thought. (it was also off season for ordering, so they said that was why as well).  The women there are very friendly.

HOWEVER, my only complaint as of right now- when I ordered my dress and veil, the dress came with spagetti straps which I was fine with. Then I went in to see it in April (I hadn't gone to see it initially because my veil hadn't come in, and I didn't want to see the dress without the veil- dress took 2 months, veil took 5 months!), I ordered a thick halter strap to be added to my dress. This was April 8th I ordered a halter strap.

Fast forward to August 5th. My ONE STRAP FINALLY comes in. I couldn't believe it took 4 months for a strap when my  whole dress took 2 months. That has been my only complaint. I just had my first fitting last week, I go back Aug 25 (wedding in Sept), so I will write back on here if my opinion of them changes!
