Gift for her father.

Our wedding is coming up and I want to get my future father-in-law a pocket watch that holds a picture of him and his daughter (my fiance).  Ingraved on the back I have 5 short lines to write something.  Does any one have any suggestions on how I can thank him for the wedding and for the gift of his daughter?

    Do you and FI plan on having children? Maybe something along the lines of
    I can only hope that one day our children look at me the way she looks at you. Thank you for raising such an amazing woman; I am forever grateful to have her.

    Or you could mention some of the amazing qualities that she possesses that you know she got from her father, and thank him for those things he taught her.

    Or you could mention something about how he loved her first and gave her a good example of what a good man is; and that you promise to always be that kind of man for her, and love her. (take care of her, be there for her, something along those lines)
