We discovered that we needed to be married and have my change of visa status application submitted and pending before my current J1 visa expired, so we applied for our wedding license on Tuesday after seeing an immigration lawyer. And we figured why wait? We decided we may as well just jump right in with both feet, so we were married yesterday when we went to collect the license. It was perfect, just me, Dave and our three year old (who ignored the grown ups, and covered the town offices in jammy toast crumbs), and we went and played on the swings and playset when we were done!
