If that is the location I'm thinking of, I believe it's a pretty popular area of the beach and marina. You wouldn't have much privacy if that's important to you. If you call one of the vendors listed under wedding packages they could tell you more about the location. We used Sam Conant at A Tahoe Dream Wedding, and he was very helpful in telling us the ins and outs of the locations.

I am looking at this venue as well, it sounds like the price is pretty reasonable and the pictures online are beautiful. Someone on the northern california community board said the her friend had checked it out and there was an old ugly hotel next to it. I am going to check it out for myself when I go to tahoe at the end of August. I will take some pictures and let you know how it looks.

    Hi Ladies,

my FI and I really wanted to have our wedding in Tahoe but since we could not find an afforadable beachside venue that fits 150 we had to change the location.

Anyway, we have been to this site...unfortunately the picture does not accurately portrey it and my commercial photographer dad did not take any pictures because there is a shed/restroom litterally 2 feet to the right of this picture that they cropped out. It ruined the venue for us :( Good luck!

We booked Lakeside Beach Venue.  We got a great deal on the reception also.

Is anyone also still considering this place?

Where are you ladies getting your hair and makeup done?

Any good manicure places in the area?

Favany, what reception site did you decide to go with? I am still trying to find one.

I finally went up to Tahoe to check out Lakeside, and I thought it was beautiful!!! The staff and signs totally seemed to keep the people away. I probably wouldn't have an afternoon wedding there because of so many people on the public part of the beach. But at sunset, it was so pretty.

I'm not sure what the others meant about it not looking like the pictures. I thought it was just as beautiful in person. There is a small building but it had flowers all up the side of it, and I didn't think it looked bad at all.

It's really close to the casinos so I'm looking at having my reception at either Harvey's or Montlbleu casino. We are figuring on about 75 guests and Harvey's would be about $6000 including food.  I haven't gotten pricing yet for the Opal lounge in Montbleu, but it looks really cool. I'll let you know if I get more info.
