My parents are contributing to most of the wedding. My fiancee's parents are going to contribute about some as well (alcohol and transportation). Does this count as both sets of parents hosting?

I know my parents are contributing the most financially but I don't want his parents to get offended if I don't include them in the hosting section even though they're contributing quite a bit less.

Mr and Mrs. Bride's Parents
Request the honor of your presence
at the marriage of their daughter
Bride
to
Groom
son of Mr. and Mrs. Groomsparents

That's what we did for our invitations. FI's parents are contributing, but not as much as mine. This way their names are listed, but they didn't want to be listed as hosts because they thought it would upstage my parents.

We did together with our families..granted both sets of parents are helping us, but I also wanted to write families to include my brother and sister who are both helping us a lot with planning and giving us ideas (I'm the oldest and first to get married so they're both pretty excited

)

We're thinking about doing "Together with their parents" even though my parents are contirbuting financially and his are not. I know his mom would love to help us out with money, but she just can't. She is really crafty and has offered to help me make stuff for the wedding, which is awesome. His father doesn't discuss the wedding with us, but it is what it is.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I think I really need to think about it and decide what works best. My parents are pretty weird. I think they'll prefer the more traditional form where they get mentioned by name bc they're the type of people that explicit recognition...

I'd probably put both sets of parents at the top. The parents of the bride go first, so your parents get to be at the tippy-top, and seriously, that should be good enough.

We are not having our parents names on the invites. Because my dad has passed away and his are devorsed and him mom has chosen not to come, so that no seen is caused by his parents. Its kinda sad really, but its what we have to do to keep our families calm.
