My FI and I are getting married the Sat of next Memorial day.  We will be having guests coming from out of town and I know that it is a busy weekend for a lot of people.  When do you think is a good time to send out the STD's?

    6-9 months in advance is good. I would probably wait until October or so, but that is just my opinion. You may get different responses as well.

    it really varies depending on circumstances 6-9mos is typical, but you can do up to a year again depending on the situation. i.e. we are doing our one year before bc all our guests our OOT, it is also a major holiday weekend, and people will need to get passports to travel.  If you have a lot of OOT guests I would probably send them out 9mos before.

    My wedding is 9/5, Labor Day Weekend, so I sent them out 8 months in advance.
