Calligrapher

Anyone know of a good calligrapher?  I have contacted one but her prices seem outrageous!

Is it necessary to have the addresses done in callgraphy or what have other people done?

Thanks for the info!

I just learned to do the calligraphy myself. I started practicing on my Christmas cards the year before the wedding and by the time it came time to address invitations I was pretty good at it :) I just bought a calligraphy pen (a real one, not a felt-tipped one), did a template of the alphabet and how I wanted each letter to look, and started writing.

You don't have to have calligraphy, particularly if you're not having a formal wedding. I've received invitations that were simply addressed in neat penmenship as well as invitations that had address labels, but I don't recommend going that route -- it was very impersonal.
    That's Mrs.skWhitneyAmanda to you!
