When to meet with the florist?

I am dreading this one for some reason. I think I am going to be overwhelmed with all the choices, and I know flowers can be super pricey. Trying to put off making an appt. but I know I have to do it at some point....have you met with a florist yet? If not, when are you planning to?

I have met with two already but I want to meet with at least 1 or 2 more I may try to meet with them sometime next month...

I had a few consultations 2 weeks ago. I probably would have continued to put it off but I took the week off work & my mom & I spent a day doing wedding stuff by my venue (I live 2+ hours from there). I am mailing my contract & deposit today.

I booked mine in April. As of now, he's already completely booked through June 2013, so I'm glad I did it when I did.

I've looked at 2 the first guy took to long respond to me. Most recent one we met Saturday he responded super quick I plan on looking at one more place but I may go with him he's a preferred vendor and right in budget. We're going simple Calla Lillie's for me and the girls and Fi will have starfish magneted to his suit we saw pix and he likes the uniqueness of it so were probably going that route.

I booked mine back in May! Not sure when your wedding is but i know a lot of florist won't do weddings the weekend of Mothers Day

I'm looking this month. A few florists I talked to don't like to meet until 8 months out, which works out pretty well for me.

<strong>My wedding date is the day before Mother's Day (mother's day is the 12th and my wedding is the 11th) and what I found is that A LOT of florists I looked at will not do any weddings that weekend because they are so busy. I booked mine in June of 2012 just because my florist will only do one wedding for that whole weekend.</strong>

I found that a lot of florists won't meet with you for a May wedding yet. One was actually quite rude about it. That being said, I have two appointments next week. I'd much rather meet with and book someone now than wait until closer to the wedding and then worry about whether or not people will be available.
