the most innocent white lie you've ever told?

My coworkers and I were talking about first concerts. And I always lie about my first concert. I tell people that my first concert ever is Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young, which is a lie. That was my second concert.

The first concert I ever went to... Sarah Brightman.

I tend to lie about the fact that my FI is actually younger than me - well I don't out right lie - but I let people assume - some of my family still believe this (not immediate ones obviously).

RA- Sarah Brightman concert is something to be proud of! I LOVE her! Although I'm sure you'd get the "huh?" look after saying it.

Haha our story is similar. But in mine, DH was thisclose to blacking out and I was the new sober arrival to the party... Romantic.

LOL. Not a toga party, that's for sure! Pretty boring actually, match.com. But I feel like people give you funny looks when you say that. So I just say we were both somewhere with friends who knew each other.

Madam--I know you weren't a theatre person, but did you know about the off campus theatre housing? That's where we met. "The Penthouse" which is where my ex lived. It was like half a mile from campus.

Haha, at my old job there was a woman that worked in the mailroom that called me Liz. I believe she confuses me with the Liz that actually worked on the same floor as me. But she always called me Liz. Even when I went to visit the office last summer. Still Liz.

I lie (well just don't mention) that when my FI and I met he was dating someone. Nothing ever happened when he was dating her though.... she ended up dumping him and not because of me.

He would have been in the class of 2002, but he left his sophomore year and went to a school in Delaware instead. He came up to visit the senior class when we were freshmen, and that's when we met.

The Penthouse is where ALL of the theatre parties were, so if you ever went to one... it was at the Penthouse. There are 6-7 houses on "the street" that were all theatre housing. The Penthouse, The Bakery (where I lived), The Shack, The Whitehouse, The Chapel... and then The Dollhouse and The Mansion.

I'm aware we're nerdy. We name our houses. But to be fair, most of those houses had those names for at least 20 years.

I used to lie about how tall I was when I was younger. I used to tell people I was 5 foot tall when I'm actually only 4'10". But it doesn't bother me anymore so I tell the truth haha.

I have to admit... living in a house that doesn't have a name makes me kind of sad. I miss living in a house with a name. We also referred to the street that all of the houses were on as "the street," as though it were the only street with off-campus housing.

There was one more theatre house, but it wasn't on "the street." That was The Basement. The Basement was the bottom floor of a house. We're super creative.

I think my biggest lie is when someone asks how I am, and I'm all upbeat and positive even if it's a sucky day and I'm in a horrible mood, I just don't want to go into it with them because I don't like them very much. But I think that's something everyone does, except for one coworker who loves to complain.

I just had a mini reunion of TV-Filmers the other night!!

Were you there when we had the massive Flip Cup Tournament that was theatre vs. TV Film? Because I was there. I was also the champion. lol.

The Penthouse and The Bakery are connected... those are the ones where you have to go up really rickety stairs to get to them. The Penthouse was on the left and The Bakery was on the right.

This doesn't ring a bell... If it was our Jr Year (did you graduate in '06?) then I probably wasn't around. I was in a really bad car accident and missed the Spring semester of Jr year because I was in the hospital.. Wonder if we are referring to any of the same tv/filmers. I dated one for just about my entire college career.

When I lived in Los Angeles and worked in entertainment, I used to lie about my job at parties and such. I would tell people I was an office manager at an accounting firm. It stopped them from giving me their headshots, reels and in general pitching themselves to me. In fact, people would often literally turn and walk away from me when they thought I couldn't help their career.

There weren't that many TV Film majors, and I knew most of them. My first roomie was a TV/Film major, and I did a couple of projects with them. I sent you a FB message.

The tourney was probably our Freshman year because frosh year I was at every PH party... soph year i was absent from the Penthouse (my ex who lived there was actively trying to braek Gzilla and I up, and I wasn't comfortable going there). Jr year I lived in Allentown, and Sr year I lived next door, but stayed mostly in my house.

Amy - DH was dating someone when we met. I also leave that out and just tell people he dropped yogurt on my head, which he did (we worked at a grocery store together). When we started talking he was still with her. As soon as he dumped her, we started going out as friends and she would stalk us. She got me kicked out of a bar because I was only 19. I didn't have a fake ID or anything, I just sat down at a table and chilled no body bothered me until she went to the bartender.

I guess I lie by omission about my age. I usually don't let people know how old I am because then they look at my differently.

I will sometimes lie to my mom about what I am doing at the moment/how busy my week has been/etc. to excuse the fact that I just didn't feel like picking up the phone when she called. If I did not do this she would call multiple times a day, every single day. Many days she still does. I got three calls yesterday.

We have unofficially named our house the Chateau Lastname and the Lastname Inn (as we have three guest rooms, a foldout couch, and a basement for guests), but this pales in comparison to other house names on this board.

Also, Amer should post a photo of what her hair really looks like

I think my most common innocent white lie is excuses why I didn't pick up the phone, text back, or email a family member or certain friends. Sometimes I'm just not in the mood to deal with others drama, especially when I'm enjoying a quiet lazy day.

I used to do this too!!! I used to say that I was 5'2" on a good day but I am only 5'. I don't mind my height now!!
