Make-up and Hair...who to pick?

I've contacted the recs on here for hair and make-up and they're all available for my wedding. Trying to decide who to pick. I'm kind of fussy with my hair - perfectly polished romantic curls aren't for me. I want something "edgy" - lots of volume on top, loose tossled waves, with a flower on the side, either half-up or gathered into a side-bun. Who to choose?

Hair:

Up Your Do! By Jill
Hair by Meghan Cahill
Natalie Pagano

Make-Up:

Cheekadee (A little more $ than i want to spend)
Dyan Michaels - Cindy
Face the Occassion

I don't have any experience with any of them...

    Good luck!

Thanks Cait! They all seem to get good reviews on here so I'm sure any of them are fine, I just get nervous booking without feedback first :)

I'm using Dylan Michaels (not Cindy, though - her assistant) for makeup and Meghan Cahill for hair.  Haven't had my trial with Meghan, but Dylan Michaels was amazing, and they are significantly cheaper for bridal makeup than many others (not sure what you're working with budget-wise, but something to consider).  Good luck!  I think these are all favorites around here and that many have had good experiences with all of them :)

I am using Dylan Michael as well, but Casey.  I am using my mom's hair stylist.

I am using Natalie.  She did a great job of giving me exactly the look I wanted.  I brought in some photos for her to see, and also gave her a description, and she hit it on the nail.  I don't know if she does edgier work (I asked for something traditional), but she is reasonably priced and very responsive.

Thanks guys, I was leaning towards Dylan Michael's for make up. Just trying to decide on hair.

Thanks for the info on Natalie - I don't want to go wild with my hair or anything, but it's good to know she was really responsive. Maybe if I have a picture they can achieve it even if it is a little less traditional.

Does Dylan Michael come to you to do your makeup, or do you need to go to the salon?

I know someone who used Megan Cahill for hair, and she raved about her.  I booked her for my wedding already.

Honestly, I've never heard bad things about any of your chioices.  I don't think you could go wrong with anyone you picked.

    Good luck!

Ditto Beagle.  I used Meghan for hair and Face the Occasion (Jill Fulop) for makeup.  Both were awesome.  In particular, although Iobviously loved how my own makeup and hair came out, I was blown away by what Meghan did for one of my MoHs, who is usually very "no muss, no fuss" with her hair and always talks about how unmanageable she thinks it is.  The adorable half-up, half-down do Meghan did made her look so good...it brought tears to my eyes.  (OK, everything brought tears to my eyes that day, but whatever.)  The beautiful thing about Meghan as well is that she works fast in addition to making you look great - she did bring an assistant because she had me, two moms, and four bridesmaids to take care of that day, but we were still all done within about three hours.

I used Mia from www.creationsbymia.com for both hair AND makeup.  She comes to your location, her prices are reasonable, and she does a fabulous job!  GL with whomever you choose!

I also used Cindy Singer (Dylan Michael) for makeup and Jill Kozar (Up Your Do) for hair.  We had everything done in the salon, rather than on site.  It was great to have all the girls there and have hair/mu done in the same location.  Both Cindy and Jill were awesome to work with.  They were really quick, listened to what the girls wanted, and did great work.  They also helped to make a nice, relaxed atmosphere for the morning.   I would highly recommend them.

Ditto all the recs for Cindy and Meghan (I used both and loved them both). And so did my girls =)

I also agree with pps that you can't go wrong with any of your choices above - they all get rave reviews!
