  My mom would sprinkle the nuts on top, so if we didn't like them we could just remove them.

  When I was a kid I didn't mind those brownies you got at the store/cafeteria that had the tiny chopped nuts on the top.  Sometimes I would eat them, sometimes I'd take them off.  I really don't enjoy nut chunks when they are inside the brownie though.

  My mom always put nuts in half the pan. I hated the border pieces because sometimes you got a stray nut.

  Nuts, no nuts, I don't care - but don't you dare give me a non-fudgy middle. That's a dealbreaker.
