Very nice NYC.  We are off to the OBX on Sunday early AM and will be there for a week.  Lots of planning will be going on while there, 3 venue visits, 2 caterer tastings, 1 cake tasting, 1 photographer meeting.  Can't wait!

Congrats NYC. Yes, these next 8 months are going to fly by. Get as much done as you can..don't put things off and say "i have plenty of time". Kinda what I did and now I am kicking myself. All I want to do is relax for a change but with the wedding in 18/19 days with a lot left to do Im stressing. I think I am putting more pressure on myself than I need to but...

Anyways, good luck and HAVE FUN planning. I almost wish we had another year to save money and continue planning, Ive had a blast doing lots of DIY projects!!!

HI NYC! I am new to this thread but I am fron NJ and planning a wedding for Oct 2012! The houses you rented look great on the Corolla Reality website (Ive been on there a few times checking out houses). We are just starting to look at venues, but its hard to figure out where to have the reception. Are you holding it at one of the houses or somewhere else? Happy planning!! Smile

Hi AC, Yes we are having the wedding at Imperial Palace and invited the bridal party to stay with us.  Royal Palace is for guests which we are renting out to them for about $500 a room for the week.  We went to OBX 3 weeks ago and viewed Imperial palace and fell in love!!  We plan on having the reception outside around the pool and in the 1st floor bar area.  In the unfortunite event of rain we will move the reception inside.  The upper floor with the dining area, kitchen and living room will be perfect with the marble floors.  Also the 1st and 2nd floors bar leads off to covered decks and we can use this for dancing and cocktail hour!!
