Rockleigh Brides

I'm getting married @ Rockleigh next May. I have heard awesome things about the food and how accomodating they are with the menu.

Will they really do pretty much whatever you want as far as food options?

I'm not crazy about a couple of their stations for cocktail hour and want to mix it up a bit--what kinds of things dd you do/are you doing for your menu? How flexible were they?

Also, anyone do Viennese hour or jazz party hour after?  Looking for feedback from fellow Rockleigh brides.

I have not done my menu yet but they seemed very willing to mix and match and do whatever we wanted.  He mentioned sliders and little hot dogs and of course my FI is all about it lol.  So we wanted to do that and maybe mix in one or two of the french fries from the potato station to make a "man station."  Its not set in stone but Rockni was fine with it.  We were also thinking of the Viennese possibly (but not the jazz).

A friend of mine is getting married there next Friday and I was with them last night, and they said that the venue has been great to work with and pretty flexible with things.   After I attend, I will give a review from a guest point of view.

Thanks ladies! Jacky225, I wanted to incorporate some simpler food, too, like sliders, fries, etc. So that's good to hear. I was a little concerned with the suggested menu as FI is a VERY PICKY eater. Burgers, fries, pizza, and chicken are his mainstays. Anything fancier than that and he makes a face. --I have a menu from the Venetian and I know FI likes a lot of items from that, so I'm hoping I can lift a few ideas and change some things around for our wedding. Getting the food right is really important to me.

Please let me know how it goes with Rockni--I'm working with Bari.
    When is your wedding date?

    GoalieGirl--thanks, please keep me posted!!

My FI is not as picky but more of just a "man-food lover" lol and has been saying since even before we were engaged that he wants mozz sticks, buffalo wings, etc.  So we were happy to see they would give that to us.  But he gets ONE table :)  haha JK he also wants the pizza station too.  My wedding is 5/4/12 in the smaller room.  I really hope the flowers are all in bloom by then.  He said they would be.  We want to take a ride up this May (the first weekend) to check it out.  Also, are you having your ceremony there?  I am not but was just wondering.  I asked if they do the ceremony in the middle by the pool and he says they no longer do it.  And I want to make sure because if the other side books and does a ceremony I dont want them taking up the whole middle pool area :)  I love it so much!

i know the jazzhour is an extra 20 someting per person. i think you have to have the right kindofparty for that. you dont want to pay for each person and then have a bunch skip out early. are they flexible with pricing at all?

    Ladies,
What type of entertainment are you having at your wedding? Band? Dj? Also, I am not sure if I remember correctly, but is there a piano in both cocktail rooms? We are considering a piano player for the cocktail hour. Not sure if we are going with a band or dj. We cant decide!

We are having a piano player for cocktail hour (I am in the small room- not sure if the big side has a piano but I would assume so). And then we are doing a DJ but including a live sax and percussionist.
