I like cake, but I LOVE frosting. Cake is just a vehicle to that delivers frosting to my mouth. Just like chips are just a vehicle for salsa, because eating with a spoon is generally not acceptable behavior.

I love all kinds of sweet, but oatmeal cookies and chewy gingerbread are my favorites around the holidays. I'm not really a chocolate person.

My FAVE is pumpkin pie, lemon mirangue and pecan pie. I also love home made chocolate chip cookies, chocolate chip/banana muffins (ONLY my grandmothers though, and I didnt get her recipe before she passed so I dont want them ever again, hers were perfection), and sugar cookies from this bakery up in Toronto where we got our favours from - they put lots of citrus in it and they are to die for.

I'm weird about cake. During the holidays I'll have some cake or pie but that's about it. UNLESS it's cheesecake, then I'm having that whenever it's available!!

Then again, cheesecake is a bit of a different type of "cake" then actual "cake" so I'm not sure if it counts.

Sarah- I agree! The frosting is the best part of cake. As long as its buttercream or cream cheese.

I might have to try that this year.  I love adding a touch of almond to the powdered sugar icing and i bet it'd taste amazing with blood orange!

I'm more of a pie girl too. Or poppyseed cake. I don't really have a sweet tooth after working at Ben and Jerry's for two years. I avoid cake and ice cream.

mmm. FI and I were just starting a holiday cookies list. Yes, already.

My favorite isn't really a baked good, but something my grandma always made:

    pound of chocolate almond bark
    bag of chocolate chips
    cup of peanut butter

melt it all together in the microwave, then pour into the little cupcake liners and freeze.

I'm not a huge cake fan- I agree with Sarah. Frosting, please!

P.S. Should I be sad I have no PM? :(

I've always felt so-so with cake, though chocolate and red velvet are my favorite by far.  Cream cheese ice cream...mmmmmm.
