    Here is the one we are looking at ... our colors are like a turquoise and dark red.

    If we do this one do you think it will be too much red, white and blue?  Its an october wedding ...

    My dad is making me a tree stump cake stand and carving our initials in it or wedding date. I am doing the champagne ribbon too. We are making our cake toppers which I am soooo excited about. It's a little guy and girl that I made out of wooden pegs. I will post pics when they are done. (gonna try and work on them this weekend.)

    I wanted a colored cake but FI didn't like the idea. So I tried the traditional white cake with a little twist and he liked. It will be something like this one below.

    mcsweets, what if you did the flowers in red or turquoise, and then the "rope" the other color? I don't think that'd be too much!

    My cake is my siggy pic!  But we will be using gerbera daisies for the flowers.

    Ours is a little like this, but it wont have the swirl patter on the sides and none of the flowers on the sides, just on the top.  We will also have it up on a pedestal and our monogram will be on the middle tier of the cake.

    medusia - Who are you using for cupcakes? We want to do cupcakes too and although I haven't looked too much, I haven't picked anyone out yet. Thanks!

    We tried the place in Valley Junction, I can't remember the name, but their prices were a little crazy. We ended up with Hy-Vee, their cupcakes are super moist and their frosting is pretty sweet.

    I got 20 dozen cupcakes and it was 184.00 about $.76 each!! We used the one by the airport. Also that includes the delivery!!
