Need some help

I posted this a few weeks back on the favor board but it didn't seem to get much traffic over there so I thought I would bring it here in hope of getting some help.

For favors I was interested in doing champagne splits with tags that would have the guest name (to act as their escort card) on one side and on the other side would have some kind of thank you inscription. I was looking for some good outlets for ordering about 150 champagne, any suggestions? Anyone also have any ideas for the thank you inscription? I was thinking somethign like "You have toasted tos us, blah blah blah.." I really can't come up with anything but I don't just want to write Thank you for celebrating our wedding etc.

Personally, I, as a guest, wouldn't like a favor like that. It's a nice thought and idea, but those kind of favors usually end up in the back of a cabinet, never to be seen again unfortunately.

I think you'd be better off spending the money on upgrading food or drinks or something like that.

Honestly, from my opinion and what I've read, edible favors are usually the route to go.

I agree. Unless you know your guests will like it. You could have a lot left over. Personalized cookies/candies things like that are a big hit.

I would love a champagne split. I would even stalk the tables for people who left their's behind.

My sister did mini-wine bottles years ago.  There was few few left behind.

I have no idea where to buy the splits though.  Are you allowed to ship alcohol into NJ from another state?  That needs to be your first question.  I would stop by some local liquor stores and see what they can do for you.   You might have an easier time doing mini-wine bottles than champange.  My sister did a mix of red and white.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

OP, I totally misread and thought you were talking about a glass. Sorry about that.
