S/O cheating

I used to see a chiropractor until I started sleeping with him.  It was straight up sex.  No dating.  No chatting.  No nothing but sex.  It ended a few months before DH and I started dating.  The guy moved away.

So in my effort to find a new chiro I'm asking around.  Everyone has recommended this guy.  Everyone.  No way in heck would that be a good idea.  I may have to stop seeing a chiro.

  • I'm imagining the center part of the adjustment table thunking down with each thrust.

  • How do you get from point A to point B?  I guess I've just never had a casual relationship like that so I don't understand how an affair happens without so much as dinner first.  Was he just like, "Make an appointment for next week on your way out.  And by the way, can we have sex then?  Okay!  Please wear those jeans again.  Those are working for me.  Have a good one!"

Also, I wonder how many of the people recommending him to you have also slept with him.

  • *waiting for A to B story*
  • Point A to Point B involved a few doses of alchohol.  We were flirting one night and he said if I wasn't a patient, blah, blah.  The next Monday I wasn't a patient.  The next weekend we were in bed.  This went off and on for a few years as we were single.

The recommendations were from my current chiro, an HVAC guy, someone from a meetup group, and a friend of a friend.
  • Alcohol and chiropractic?  Do you hang out with your health vendors socially?

  • Oh Kuus, it's small town America.  There are 12k people and only so many social outings/bars.  We were professionals of a certain age so we'd see each other often.  There were several people over the years that were trying to set us up.
  • Okay, that sounds less skeevy than originally imagined.  Darn it.

  • Yeah, it was an acquaintance who also happened to be your chiropractor.  That's a lot less like cheesy late-night Cinemax.
