Friday marked 6 months away for me, so I had something really special planned for this weekend. My MOH and 5 bridesmaids came to visit (I live in Brooklyn and they live in CT, NJ, ME, and western NY). I showed them all the wedding work and preparations I have made, and we went shopping for their dresses. I of course had looked at way too many, and narrowed it down to 6. They each tried on one, and we quickly eliminated 4. Then 2 others tried on the final 2, and I selected one. It looked great (as good as a sample dress can), and we ordered. Here it is:
Favorite moment of the day: One of my bridesmaids will be wearing a tux instead of the above dress, so she waited with me outside the dressing room. I said to her, "You have to help me be impartial, just incase I can't decided. But remember, they are the wrong color, they will be blue, so don't pay attention to the color. And they aren't the right size, so ignore the fit." She looks at me, confused and serious, and says. "So ... what am I judging?" I could only laugh and agree that the whole process was pretty ridiculous.
Next question: What color shoes? The wedding colors are royal blue, black, and silver accents. So silver? I ordered these earrings ($15 from Groupon!) as part of their present, which I think will look very nice.
