  I suppose that depends on if you want your fiance to see your dress or not. My fiance has seen my dress so I have no problems keeping it in a garment bag in the back of my closet. If you don't want him to see it, and you think he might be tempted, maybe you can ask your parents or a close family member to keep it at their house?

  My dress is in my parents home, in a garment bag in their basement (it's finished and it's also where my mom does her sewing).  My FI has seen my dress but only in a picture and I doubt he'll even remember it by the time we say "I do".  I didn't want it in the house tempting him to peek at the real thing.  All of my day of attire is a secret so he hasn't seen anything.  The only thing I've told him is I'm having a long veil and my shoes will be blue.
