Preemies

Some girl in my class tonight, whom I happen to think is kinda a b!tch to begin with, said that if you have a preemie, it means you did something wrong.

OH HEEEEELL NAW.

Re: Preemies

  • And... what pray tell did you say to her in response?
  • Nothing.

1.) My teacher continued his lecture over her.

2.) She's the kind of person who would make a huge scene if you so much as jokingly say something to her and I'm just trying to get through the rest of the semester.

  • My bff just had a preemie and did EVERYTHING right.  Fortunately she and the baby are home and doing well.

I would have punched her in the boob, then informed her that people whose boobs attact fists are asshats.

<div>Preemies can happen for all kinds of reasons. My twin cousins were preemies. My aunt was in bed rest for most of her pregnancy and tried to do everything she could to make sure her children were healthy. They've had a few problems with asthma and such, but I don't think anything was really caused by her pregnancy. It's harsh and downright WRONG to assume that a woman "causes"  herself to have a preemie.</div><div>
</div><div>Thanks for the info, by the way. If I ever get punched in the boob, I'll take that as a sign that I've been an asshat. ;)</div>

    LOL You're welcome.

I think twins and other multiples tend to be preemies.  Everyone I know who has twins had them about a month early if not more.

<div>Probably. He's a nice guy and all, but if nothing else, he does fail at being a professor. Seriously, an older woman in my class wanted to report him to the department head because nearly all of us are JUST passing his class. Even the people who are already in the field. And of course there's the whole thing about him letting this girl go crazy in class. </div><div>
    </div><div>Sigh.</div><div>
</div><div>@lisa - Yeah, twins usually are preemies from what I understand. Which just proves that PREEMIES HAPPEN. It doesn't matter what you do or how much you take care of yourself during your pregnancy, stuff can still happen. That's life.</div>

Off topic of preemies, but on topic of stupid things people say in class:

Some girl told my teacher that he should leave his long-time girlfriend who he's been with most of his adult life and they have a 3 year old daughter, to go "play the field" Because if he doesn't, he will cheat on her.

Thank god she sits behind me so she couldn't see my eyes stuck in the back of my head. Then I put my head in my hands and laughed....
