Invite question

I am having a choice of salmon or beef ( i just dont know what kind of beef, its either roast beef or prime rib, and i wont know till after the tasting which may be late in January due to FI Schedule) But I need to get the invites out at least the 2nd week in Jan. So do you think its a problem if i just write ____salmon or ____beef and not specifiy what kind of beef?

I haven't done mine but I think that is fine. I don't plan on specifying

We didn't specify on our daughter's invitations. The response cards would have been too wordy and cumbersome.

My response cards give an option of chicken, beef, or fish. I won't know the specifics until our tasting in Feb. or early March. I think it is typical not to know the specific meal.

I'm doing the same thing. Our tasting isn't until the 25th of January, but invites need to go out before then. I will write an option of either beef or chicken.

I'm not specifying either, just putting beef or fish.
